With TUBOTRON 60, Peterseim offers maximum bending flexibility for demanding materials

Until now our portfolio has focussed on brass and aluminium. However, the recent investment in a state-of-the-art tube bending machine made by Tracto-Technik allows us to process almost all materials. Many companies from different industries are already benefitting from our enhanced service and have placed orders with us for contract bending of tubes made from steel or stainless steel.

This new machine is capable of processing tubes with a max. outer diameter of 60 mm and has a free-standing bending head to give maximum flexibility. The extremely rugged design and the strong bending drive unit mean that the machine is capable of bending both thick-walled and thin-walled tubes.

Thanks to our close relationships with companies in the automotive, aircraft, maritime and furniture industries, as well as in machine and plant engineering, we have built up a broad knowledge of markets and products and are able to offer our customers perfect solutions to meet their needs.

Peterseim invest in a 3D articulated measuring arm made by TRACTO-TECHNIK

Peterseim has now invested some 18,000 Euro in a 3D articulated measuring arm made by TRACTO-TECHNIK. Using the handy “Tuboscan M”, the geometric data of sample tubes can be quickly and easily determined. Furthermore, it is possible to use the articulated measuring arm as a 6D mouse in order to define new tube courses with a predefined volume, all this while continuously acquiring online data in the background.

In addition to brass and aluminium there is now also CUPHIN®. Peterseim is the first company to be successful in drawing and subsequently processing CUPHIN® tubes

Do you know of CUPHIN®? CUPHIN® is the brand name for a metallic alloy with unique properties which are immediately predestined for applications associated with drinking water. This is because CUPHIN® is an alloy consisting of copper, zinc and silicon (CuZn21Si3P), which is completely free of lead and other toxic elements. Thus, this material is a real milestone on the way to lead-free pipes for applications associated with drinking water.
What is more, CUPHIN® has the advantage of a particularly high copper content of 76% which effectively prevents the multiplication of bacteria and other microorganisms. In some states of the USA, the use of pipes made from lead-free materials for new drinking water installations is already obligatory today. At the latest in 2013, when the limit value for lead in drinking water will be reduced from 25 to 10 micrograms per litre by the new EU drinking water directive, traditional materials containing lead will have to be replaced with lead-free materials.
